Well, it came down to a single game in the final week.
With Special K faltering with her weakest week of the season at 5-11, the door was open for Chris and Clarke to swoop in and steal away the regular season title.
7 wins would have done it, but alas, C&C managed but 6 and finished a heartbreakingly close second (less than 0.5%).
In the category of way too little and way too late, Pete, Zane and Rock all turned in 9 week wins, while Mike grabbed the final week win of the season with 10, securing his third place overall finish.
Zane gets a notable mention for posting an abominable 35% winning percentage in the first 7 weeks and an admirable 56% in the last 10, which was enough to keep him out of the cellar.
And we would certainly be remiss if we failed to mention how Chris and Clarke won more weeks (7.5) than Kris, Peter, Rock, and Zane combined, despite taking two weeks off.
