No one did very well last week. Only Zane managed two wins which was enough to vault him into a tie with his fellow regular season basement dweller, Pop.

Ah, the playoffs, a chance for a fresh start after a season of mediocrity (with the notable exception of Special K). But mediocrity continued to reign with no one picking more than 3 out of the 6 games right and no one correctly picking more than 3 out of 6 over/unders.

Pop did take a modest lead, which is perhaps a bit of minor consolation after a disastrous regular season. With wins worth increasingly more points with each subsequent week, there is still plenty of time.

Special K capped her remarkable 2022-2023 regular season run by winning her third straight week. Kris won the most weeks (6) and even more impressively, her season winning percentage was just under 55%, and more than 5 full points ahead of her nearest competitor.

Mike finished second (though below 50%), followed closely by C&C. Zane and Pop, who finished first and second last year, brought up a distant rear, collectively losing 56 more games than they won. Ouch.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Kris wins the week and expands her lead again. Even if she loses all her final week games and Mike wins all his games, it probably won’t be enough. Second place is certainly up for grabs, as is last place. Just not first.
