Just went it looked like it was Goodbye Girl for Special K, and the gluten-free crowd would loaf their way to a playoff title, Baby I’m A Want You to Know things have changed.

With Kris “I’d Like to Bake it With You” Todaro (sister to professional Gluten pushers extraordinaire, Heartstone Artisan Bakery) plating the only 3-win weekend, things are all jammed up and I’d bet Everything I Own that it will come down to the final week. (Not that there is any dough on the line).

IF the crustier folks in the crowd accuse me of buttering up Special K, well It Don’t Matter to Me (because darling, I knead you to know I’d be Lost Without Your Love). Updated results…

After a promising regular season, C&C answered the bell in the first week of the playoffs, picking 5 out of 6 games and accurately predicting 4 of the over/unders (for the record, three games went under, two went over and one was equal).

With each win worth 2 points and each over/under call worth an additional point, C&C strike first and take the early lead in the playoff challenge with Rocky, who curiously piled up 6 wins but took it on the chin in all the O/U matchups, in his familiar runner-up spot.

But yo, with wins this week worth 3 points (and no pesky under/overs to take on), even Special K remains a contender.

Zane as well as his beloved Chargers pulled out a dramatic final week win to surpass Pop and secure the coveted 2021-22 Family Football regular-season title. Zane’s final 11-5 week performance left him three wins clear of Pop who, like the Chargers D, ceded massive gains in the final week.

Despite his Chargersian final week demise, Pop finished a solid second with an impressive 54% winning clip.

Congrats to Zane on his heartstopping win as well as to Chris and Clarke who managed to win the most number of weeks (and were most improved this year, going from 44% to just under 50%).

Special K, like the Chargers, won 52% of her games and had moments of dominance, but ultimately came up short and finished third. Mike picked some nice t-shirts.

As his just reward, Zane and his fellow Charger fan() will get to watch the Chargers Raiders square off against the Bengals in the first round of the NFL playoffs. He will also receive the spiffy t-shirt spotted in this post.

Mike’s big Week 16 tiebreaker win over Zane means…pretty much nothing. Unfortunately, he remains five full games behind next to last place, a plight not dissimilar to his beloved Lions of Detroit.

Zane, for his part, has closed within 3 wins of Pop with two weeks remaining in the regular season, and Chris and Clarke have climbed into third, as Kris continues to fade like her sunroom sofa.
