Week 7 Results

Number 7 visualIn the football pool equivalent of the hand-in-hand finish, Peter and Kendall shared the week 7 victory after picking identical tiebreaker points.

Kendall has stormed her way to the top of the heap, leaving Chris and Claire and the rest of the pack in her powdery dust. As for the men, they can take solace in Peter’s relationship happiness and the fact that they have closed the gap with the women to a mere 3 percentage points.

Week 6 Results…

15521877525_5587ece54e_kWell, it wasn’t pretty, with win totals at an all time low, but Kendall emerged victorious in week 6 over Mike and Zane thanks to her low number of tiebreaker points. Zane’s rather poor-spirited “must be residing in the continental United States” protest has been rejected and will likely only serve to stir the cauldron of male/female opposition.

Classic Chris continues to maintain the narrowest of overall leads, while the men have closed to within 5 percentage points (though no thanks to Pete).

Week 5 Results

Route 5 sign

The men journeyed further down their road to redemption, with Pop racing to the week 5 win on the strength of the Bucs Monday night upset. The males now trail by a mere 6% percentage points.

While Rock and Zane may be rattling that glass ceiling of female pigskin picking supremacy, the 2 Cs remain firmly entrenched at the top with dueling 55%s.

Road tripping to the southern end of our standings, we find Mike, Pete and our newest participant, Kendall, commiserating. At least they have each other.

Week 4 Results

Number FourThe female reign of terrific wobbled a bit as Zane put the males in the win column for the first time this season, nosing out Rock by 1.

That said, the women have not fallen, remaining 1,2,3 in the overall standings, with Claire still in the driver’s seat.

Week 3 Results

Soccer player wearing a #3While our #3 jersey wearer and his male comrades may be rejoicing, it is but an ironic celebration for the males of the Family Football Feud.

For while Pete joined in the so-called fun and Sister Chris(tian) sat on the bench luxuriating in her overall lead, the results otherwise bore the familiar air of female superiority.

Claire defeated Special K for the weekly win on the basis of the tiebreaker, giving each of the females a weekly win to the collective male zip. It also gives the females a remarkable 13% advantage over the males after 3 weeks of competition (55% to 42%).

Ah, but lest our female combatants get too big for their collective britches, let them be reminded that the law of averages and turnabout can be cruel bitches too.
