After a season of misery, Mike looked like he might actually pull out a weekly win. Alas, big Sis (and Clarke) pulled a Lucy and snatched away the Week 16 title from both Mike and Pete when the Monday night tiebreaker produced a meager number of points.

Going into the final week, Zane remains on top but is still capable of being felled by Pop.

As we near the finish line of our 2017 season competition, it has increasingly become a two-man race for the overall title between Zane and Pop. Week 15 was no different as Rock and Zane tied for the weekly crown with dueling 8 win weeks. As Zane eschewed participation in the normal tiebreaker on the basis of the Commish misidentifying the Monday night game, the week was officially declared a tie.

Can Pop make up 3 games on Zane in the final two weeks? Will Mike make a run at respectability? Will Claire ever play again? Stay tuned.

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Such has been the fate of our dear Rock throughout the season. But just went it look like the Steelers were ready to swoop in on Monday night and ruin his big day, the Bengals held on to cover on Monday night allowing Rock to nose out Special K. For once, the cake was not left out in the rain; Rock has prevailed with his first weekly win.

Ah but the real credit lies in Rock’s gutty pick of the Giants to cover against the Raiders despite New York’s extreme coaching turmoil and the benching of franchise QB Eli Manning for journeyman Geno Smith. Since we could not find any autographed photos of Geno in a Giant uniform, we must settle for this giant 9 foot inflatable New York Giants snowman suitable for Rock and Maryann’s Basking Ridge front yard environs. Sure to be both a big hit and get the NJ Pennella clan booted out of their local HOA, the inflatable can be had on the Home Shopping Network for a mere $149.95 and is available for FlexPay.

With his big week, Rock has moved within striking distance of Zane, while C&C have faded to fourth, though safely clear of the sublime suckage that is Mike this season.

Zane was eyeing an unprecedented four-peat, but despite a very strong week, it was not enough. Ultimately, Kris eeked out a win over Rock in the Monday night tiebreaker, each going 10-3.
