Week 5 Results: Back to Back in B-more (vicinity)!

Ravens themed cornhol boards

UPDATED to include Peter and Kendall’s week 5 results that I missed. But they didn’t win.

Congrats to Chris and Clarke who have now claimed consecutive weekly titles.

In honor of their back to back wins, we share this sweet Ravens inspired cornhole set (complete with Natty Bo man!) courtesy of the sport’s leading enthusiast site: http://www.cornholegameplayers.com/.

Claire’s strategy to get out to an early overall lead and then refuse to play may pay off, as she remains the overall percentage leader but with Chris and Clark now in striking distance.

Results:

C&C: (9-4) 55.4% (31-25), 2 week wins

Rock: (6-7) 50.0% (28-28)

Mike: (5-8) 48.2% (27-29)

Zane: (8-5) 46.4% (26-30)

Kris: (7-6) 44.6% (25-31)

Kendall (5-8) 46.3% (12-15)

Pete: (7-6) 42.9% (19-22), 1 week win

Claire: (DNP) 58.6% (17-12), 1 week win

Week 4 Results

il_570xN.1222390424_c2htIn honor of Chris and Clarke’s big week 4 win, we offer up Etsy’s finest Baltimore Ravens painted crab shell which can be yours for a mere $25 (plus shipping and handling!).

Claire, who did not participate this week, maintains her overall lead with Mike, Rock and Chris and Clarke all tied for second.

The rear is collectively represented by Kris and Zane at <42%. But the season is young.

Results:

C&C: (8-6) 51.2% (22-21), 1 week win

Rock: (7-7) 51.2% (22-21)

Kendall (7-7) 50% (7-7)

Kris: (7-7) 41.9% (18-25)

Mike: (6-8) 51.2% (22-21)

Zane: (5-9) 41.9% (18-25)

Pete: (5-9) 42.9% (12-16), 1 week win

Claire: (DNP) 58.6% (17-12), 1 week win

Week 3 Results

6df785d0d94d36ee7538ee6ceddfe1f8Spoke too soon about everyone’s picking prowess, as nary a competitor posted more wins than losses in week 3.  Pete and Mike and were the least offenders at 7-7, but the tiebreaker went to the ‘sota kid by a single point.

In honor of Pete’s victory, we have offered up this epic Vikings inspired pumpkin carving.

As for the overall results, Claire remains on top, with Mike but a game behind. With rumors of a Kendall re-appearance swirling about Twitter, however, our leaders best enjoy their reign while it lasts.

Claire: (5-9) 17-12

Mike: (7-7) 16-13

Pete: (7-7) 7-7

Rock: (5-9) 15-14

C&C: (5-9) 14-15

Zane: (5-9) 13-16

Kris: (3-11) 11-18

Week 2 Results!

Much to Zane’s dismay, Claire did it again, winning games 12 pages despite spending 12 seconds contemplating her pics. Even more surprising, given the generally lame picking performance last season, everyone won more games than they lost.

However, further to Zane’s dismay, however, proper alphabetization dictates that we place him at the bottom of the table.

Claire: 12-3

Rock: 10-5

C&C: 9-6

Mike: 9-6

Kris: 8-7

Zane: 8-7

PS: In honor of the Lions’ big and dramaless MNF win, we’ve featured a festive Detroit Lions wreath available via Etsy in time for the winter holidays.

Final 4 Results

Now that we’ve reached the final 4, the reality is only Pete and Kris have a chance to win. Others can improve (or worsen) their position, but not win the coveted title. Chris and Rock are sadly kaput.

Here are the scenarios:

  • If Gonzaga wins the tournament, Kris wins.
  • If Oregon beats Gonzaga in final, Kris wins.
  • If Oregon beats SC in the final, Pete wins.
  • If UNC wins the tournament, Pete wins.
  • If SC wins the tournament, Pete wins.
Name Points Teams Left Teams Max Points
Pete 370 2 UNC, Oregon 530
Kris 350 2 Gonzaga, Oregon 510
Zane 320 2 UNC, Oregon 480
Chris 270 0 270
Mike 260 1 Gonzaga 420
Rock 250 0 250
Claire 240 1 UNC 400

Thanks!
