Where wins were worth 40 points…and Duke bit the dust.

Zane: 500 points (4 teams remaining – UVA, MSU, Texas Tech, Auburn)

Mike: 390 points (3 teams – UVA, MSU, Texas Tech)

Rock: 270 points (1 team – Auburn)

Kris: 220 points (no teams 🙁

Where wins were worth 30 points…

Zane: 340 points (4 teams remaining – UVA, MSU, Texas Tech, Auburn)

Mike: 270 points (3 teams – UVA, MSU, Texas Tech)

Rock: 230 points (2 teams – Duke, Auburn)

Kris: 220 points (1 team – Gonzaga)

As Zane has all of Mike’s teams plus Auburn, he’s got Mike beat.

While Duke could still win the tournament, they can’t get Rock enough points to catch Zane.

And Kris is just too effing far behind to do anything (even if Gonzaga (spoiler alert!) hadn’t already lost last night).

So this little competition is essentially over. Though 2nd and 3rd are still be decided.

But we’ll keep the NCAA memes coming nonetheless.

Zane: 220 points (6 teams remaining)

Kris: 190 points (5 teams)

Mike: 180 points (4 teams)

Rock: 170 points (4 teams)

Ancient news now, but here’s what the results looked like after the first round:

Zane: 100 points (10 teams remaining)

Mike: 100 points (10 teams)

Rock: 90 points (9 teams)

Kris: 90 points (9 teams)

In this pool, we each pick one seed from each of the 16 seeds and then earn points for each game your teams win. The points increase with each round as shown below:

• Round 1:  10 points per win
• Round 2:  20 points per win
• Round 3:  30 points per win
• Round 4:  40 points per win
• Round 5:  60 points per win
• Round 6:  100 points per win
